CARSTAR Wicklunds Liberty was called “The Body Shop” in Liberty, MO. At the time, Bill Wicklund was renting space from the Tyson Ford Auto Dealership. In 1970, Wicklunds built a new building East of Franklin School in downtown Liberty, MO serving the local area for 45 years. We moved to our new location at 941 Sutton Place Liberty, MO in 1995 and continue to serve the surrounding communities.CARSTAR Wicklunds Liberty has maintained the prestigious I-Car Gold Professional Training Status for over 15 years.
CARSTAR Wicklunds Liberty hosts current, up to the minute training sessions for both Wicklund’s CARSTAR employees and other Body Shops / Collision Repair professionals in the area. These courses help by providing specific training to make sure that you, the Customer, receive a Safe and Proper repair.
CARSTAR Wicklunds Liberty Employees receive over 150 hours training yearly to remain qualified to provide our customers with Safe and Proper Repairs.

Gerald has an “8th Degree Black Belt” in Ryukyu Kempo & Okinawan Weaponry. He has been an instructor in Martial Arts for over 35 years.
As an active member of the Liberty SERTOMA Club since 1990, Gerald has served as the VP of membership and on numerous committees.

Bill and Rochelle Wicklund – Founders of the Body Shop and CARSTAR’s First Franchisee
Bill and Rochelle Wicklund are the married founders of Wicklund’s CARSTAR in Liberty, Missouri, who launched the business back in 1970—originally named The Body Shop—leasing space from Tyson Ford, before moving to their current location in 1995 .
Bill, active in collision repair since the late 1950s, helped establish the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS), earned recognition such as the I-CAR Hall of Fame (1994) and was inducted into the SCRS Hall of Eagles (1991), with both Bill and Rochelle later honored with SCRS Lifetime Honorary Membership.
Rochelle has over three decades of industry experience, serves on the I-CAR Central Committee, and has been recognized for her community involvement through Kiwanis awards and for managing the shop’s rental fleet to streamline customer service .
Though retired, the couple—now both in their 80s—remain involved with the shop bearing their name, which has stayed in the family and recently transitioned to the third generation of Wicklunds
